Nathan and I drove to Oklahoma City tonight, to attend the Oklahoma Main Street awards.
It was held at the Cowboy Hall of Fame:
The Governor and representatives and senators were there:
They served us delicious and healthy food:
And the “Chew Dunnit” mystery play Nathan wrote last summer for the A Taste of Collinsville event was one of four finalists out of 271 entries!
One category was best creative fundraising event:
We lost to a fundraising event that auctioned purses.
The other category was Creative New Event:
We lost here to a zombie 5k run, which felt lame since that’s a thing all over the country and not a new event.
But we were good sports, and proud of Collinsville for winning two individual awards plus winning for Hogs N Hot Rods and also the best website.
It was so fun and exciting!
Good job, Collinsville!
